Avraam Seredinskiy, TRIZ Champion (March 24, 1932 – November 26, 2024)
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Dr. Avraam Seredinskiy, a distinguished scholar, educator, and passionate advocate for the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ). Born on March 24, 1932, in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg), Dr. Seredinskiy devoted his life to the pursuit of innovation and the advancement of creative thinking methodologies. He passed away on November 26, 2024, in Poitiers, France, leaving behind a legacy that spans centuries.
Dr. Seredinskiy was a successful Professor when he first came across the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ) in mid-80s of the last century. This acquaintance turned everything upside down in Avraam’s life. He was trained in this methodology by prominent TRIZ Masters Dr. Simon Litvin and Alex Lyubomiskiy and became one of the most active followers of TRIZ.
At the end of 80s, Dr. Seredinskiy was invited to the High School of Telecommunication in Paris, France. Later he worked for years in the city of Poitiers and was an invited Professor at High School of Innovation in La Rochelle. He also worked in the “Education for the New Era” Lab and initiated the Association of TRIZ-France.
Dr. Seredinskiy trained hundreds of engineers and scientists in multiple French companies like Renault, Peugeot-Citroën, Chanel, Framatome, EADS, Electricité de France, etc. He also trained TRIZ hundreds of students and lecturers of several French Universities. He also taught in three technical universities in Mexico. In addition to education activities, Avraam solved multiple challenging engineering problems. He is an author of several patents.
Dr. Seredinskiy is an author of multiple publications. He participated in international TRIZ conferences in Austria, Great Britain, Italy, Mexico, Russia, and USA. He translated into French and published the books of the originator of TRIZ Genrich Altshuller. Avraam is also a co-author of the TRIZ textbook in French and editor of multiple books in Russian.
As a Doctor of Science and Professor, Dr. Seredinskiy was revered for his contributions to the field of TRIZ, a problem-solving framework that has empowered countless innovators and thinkers worldwide. His work bridged generations, inspiring engineers, scientists, and students to challenge conventional thinking and embrace inventive solutions.
In 2018 International TRIZ Association (MATRIZ) awarded Dr. Seredinskiy for his life achievements with the title of TRIZ Champion.
